Welcome to

 Musical Theater for Young Performers!

Razzle Dazzle Kids musical theater classes are designed to help young performers ages 10 – 17 develop theatrical singing, acting, and movement skills. Our classes teach children how to use their own creativity and develop both social and theatrical tools for performance. Children learn self confidence, interaction and the ability to perform in front of an audience in a fun environment. At the end of each class series, students perform an original musical theater show to achieve these goals and showcase their growth and development. New sessions begin each spring and fall. You must audtion to be a part of this dynamic group. Show selection varies each season.

Ask us about our Razzle Dazzle Junior classes for kids ages 6 and up!

These classes are offered to any child with an interest in performing, no experience required. The sessions begin with an  "audition" to determine how the student will be placed in the performance.

Acting: Students focus on imaginative play, stage technique, basic acting skills, improvisation, and character development.
Singing: Students learn a variety of songs and will be instructed in proper vocal technique, intonation, diction and musical styling.
Dancing: Students will learn basic choreography stage movement and dance skills.
 

The students meet on Tuesdays from 5:15 - 6:30 pm AND Thursdays  from 5:15 - 6:30. We also will have Saturday afternoon rehearsals on an as needed basis (at least 3) Tuition cost for full - time students is $295 with some scholarships available. You must audition to be a part of this program.

We are planning on asking a select group of students to travel with us to the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia       Jan 15 - 17 for an exciting weekend that includes adjudication, awards, workshops for kids and a performance of Annie at the Fox Theater. Returning students get a $25 discount!

Junior  performers (ages 6 - and up) meet on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays  from 4:15 - 5:00 pm with some Saturday rehearsals. They also will get the opportunity to perform in the musical on a more limited basis.

Tuition for part - time students is $195 with a $15 discount for returning students.

Tracy Crews is a veteran of musical theater with over 35 years of experience both on stage and directing. In addition to teaching in Indiana and Ohio, she was formerly the music and drama teacher at Carrollwood Day School here in Tampa during which she produced and directed for 8 years such favorite shows as Oz!, The Secret Garden and the Pirates of Penzance at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. She has also performed locally with Carrollwood Players and at TBPAC with the Tampa group Spanish Lyric Theater. Additionally, she has been a performer with the singing group The Tampa Oratorio Chorus. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Indiana University. She lives in Tampa Palms along with her husband Al, and her son Chase.
